These chairs are called "Author's Chairs." I painted them for teachers to use in their classrooms. Children sit in the chairs to read stories they have written to their classmates. These were some of the first items that I painted. These were painted in 1999 and 2000.
Below is the first piece I ever painted. This was the author's chair for my class.
This chair was painted for a kindergarten teacher to use in her classroom. This "Imagination Chair" was painted in 2000.
This "Inspiration Chair" was painted for my principal in 2000. She wanted it for her office. Our school had a very diverse population, which was my inspiration for her chair.
